Although some small sections of this pragmatic overview of guerrilla warfare is outdated (telecommunications), the basics are still very relevant. The tactics described are those I've seen reported recently in Syria and online. Guevara makes clear why fighting in urban areas is very difficult - the enemy have more of a hold in the area and can do massive harm to the populace - take Homs for instance.
